About the Linked Record Editor

The Linked Record Editor Settings view type allows you to edit data in Linked record field types that are connected to other tables.

Add the Linked Record Editor View Type

To add a Linked Record Editor view type:

Click the + icon in the viewer
Choose Linked Record Editor
Click Add



Linked Record Editor Settings

The Linked Record Editor Settings panel is where you can choose the Linked Record field you want to edit and where you choose to display or hide fields.

Click the Settings icon
In Linkable Field, choose the Linked record field you want to view
You can choose All Fields or you can toggle each field on or off
Gray - Not Displayed
Green - Displayed
Additionally, you can use the Search box to find the field you want to choose.
Once you’ve chosen your fields, click the arrow to display the actual record with data
Now, you can view and edit the data from your chosen Linked record field



Change Fields Displayed in Editor

To change the fields you have visible in the Linked Record Editor:

Click the settings icon and toggle the field on or off
Gray - Not Displayed
Green - Displayed

Browse Records in Linked Record Field

To browse to the previous or next record in your Linked Record field:

Click the previous and next arrows in the Linked Record Column navigation



Browse Records in Table

To browse to the previous or next record in your table:

Click the previous and next arrows in the app navigation menu



Rename the Column

To rename the column:

Click the edit icon
Enter in your text
Click the completed icon



Delete the View Type Column

To delete the Linked Recorder Editor View Type from your layout:

Click the delete icon
Then, click Delete
